Cultural Activities [in house]

Cultural activities are a means of preserving our rich heritage of culture and art, a means of shaping the multifaceted personality of students and encouraging their latent potential, along with education, to bring out the artistic strengths of students and inculcate positive interests in them and thereby carry forward the heritage of Indian culture.
Highlights of 2022-23
- On 29.7.2022, an Orientation program was organized by the senior student of the college for the newly admitted Semester-I students. In which a traditional fashion show, dance based on film music was performed and under the direction of Patni Khushali a skit on “Nari Shakti” was presented beautifully. A short dance drama (Ballet) combining NCC,NSS, sports and cultural activities was presented before the new entrants to make them aware of the college activities.
- Mehndi class competition was held in the college on 8.8.2022 in which Ansari Shifha (Sem-5) Prajapati Darshana (Sem.5), Rajput Divya (Sem-5) won first, second and third prizes.
- A legacy of the Guru-Shishya tradition is Teacher’s Day. This year on 5th September as every year, all from all the semesters enthusiastically participated in Teacher’s Day teaching task. The following were the winners Sheikh Humera M.(Sem-5) stood First, Rampariya Dhara A (Sem-5)stood Second, Malek Khusnumabanu M (Sem-1) bagged the third position. Consolation prizes were given to Solanki Vandana (Clerk) (Sem-1) took over as Om Divya M (Peon)(Sem-1)
- On 27.9.2022 as per the tradition Navratri Festival was celebrated at K.R Sant Hall of the college, most of the students and faculty members of the institute participated very enthusiastically wearing traditional clothes. In the beginning, after worshiping Maa Shakti and performing aarti, the free style garba competition started. This year for the first time a competition was held between the students of all three semesters. The category of prizes– Group Performance (Trophy), Best Dressing, Best Performance, Overall Performance. The Group Performance (Trophy) First Prize was bagged by (Sem-5), Seconal Prize (Sem-1), Third Prize (Sem-3), Best Dressing prize was bagged by Ren Patel (Sem-1), Saloni Vacheta (Sem-1), Ravat Vandana (Sem-5), Best Performance prize was bagged by Bhatt Hitanshi (Sem-3), Solanki Vandana (Sem-1), Panchal Darshita (Sem-3), Komal Mehta (Sem-3), Vrinda Shah (Sem-5) bagged Overall Performance trophy.
Gujarat University Youth Festival
- On September 15-16, 2022 Dr. Urmilaben Chimanbhai Patel Arts and Commerce College hosted the City Division Youth Festival. The student of our institution especially NCC, NSS, Sports Unit participated in the youth festival rally. In the elocution competition Bhatt Hitanshi, a student of Sem-3 won the trophy in the best three categories.
