The new venture GLSGC is wedded to its age-old noble cause of educating and empowering the women coming especially from the weaker and humble strata of society. It runs Undergraduate Course- B.A. The college provides not only modern education and career opportunities in various subjects of Arts faculty but also inculcates and strengthens the Indian cultural values through a number of curricular and extracurricular activities including Sports, Cultural, N.C.C. and N.S.S. with their noticeable national level achievements every year. GLSGC also focuses specially on the technological demand of the age, i.e. computer literacy through special computer literacy programs. Since its inception the goal of the girls college is Women Empowerment and one of its best practice is From Monitoring to Mentoring, in line with this functions the socio/psychology counseling cell. The Counseling cell proves to be a great support to solve various social, financial, academic and emotional problems of the girl students of the college. Very rich library with rare old and the latest books, free lending library facility as its best practice and special classes to prepare the girl students for competitive exams organized by the library open new vistas of knowledge and career of the students.
Under the most able leadership, mentoring and tutelage of eminent lawyer Shri. Sudhirbhai Nanavati (Executive Vice-President, GLS & President GLS University) with his loving and humanistic approach, the college keeps on flourishing and developing in a number of academic and extra-curricular areas and thereby contributing to the chivalrous cause of women empowerment in particular and the progress of society in general.
